As I spew forth falsehoods plenty I can see myself groping ever higher on that mountain of achievement The goal I have, my desire. Aiding me in my ascent is a ladder of temptation. For every Lie that permeate my lips, a rung is added to the tall ominous structure I ascend on tainted footholds, carved from the misconceptions of others Bound by the wire of betrayal Yet, as my ladder grows higher, and become ever closer to my goals Inquirers of my untruth seek me out They search for the truth, and in doing so destroy my lie, my rungs Not starting from the top
